131st Annual Meeting
The Society is pleased to report a total membership of 266. We continue to encourage members to seek out new qualified candidates who would be worthy of proposal for membership in the Society. The society is particularly interested in proposing candidates for ACTIVE membership.

Only Active and/or Senior members may propose a candidate for membership.
The American Otological Society, Inc., just completed a very successful 131st Annual Meeting under the leadership of the President, Dr. Charles M. Luetje. We wish to thank Dr. Luetje for an outstanding program.

We welcome two new members to the Society. D. Bradley Welling was inducted into Active Membership and Chong-Sun Kim was inducted into Corresponding Membership.
Biographical Information Requested
We are in the process of updating our files and creating a database, therefore, we are enclosing a biographical information sheet asking each member to provide the information requested and return to the Secretary-Treasurer’s Office at 2720 Tartan Way, Springfield, IL 62707. Please type or print the information requested and include your e-mail address if available.
ABSTRACTS
The Council adopted a new format for abstract submission. The approved format follows the same format as utilized by the American Journal of Otology.

Submission of Abstracts may be by paper form from USA via conventional carriers or by electronic means as outlined in the abstract form enclosed with this newsletter.
